Real Holland pancakes


 Traditional recipe from The Netherlands


For 1 large pancake:
  • 1 cup of flower
  • salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of butter or margarine




Mix the flour and the salt in a bowl, make a well in the middle and add the beaten eggs. Mix to a smooth batter.


Add the rest of the milk.


Melt half of the butter in a frying pan and pour the batter into it.


Turn the pancake frequently and adding a bit of butter each time. It should turn golden brown and crisp on both sides.
