Curried rice and meat casserole (Kerrieschoteltje)

Traditional recipe from The Netherlands

  • 2 big minced onions
  • 1/2 tbsp of curry powder
  • 1 cup or more of minced pork meat
  • 1 cup of uncooked quick boiling or 3 cups of cooked rice
  • salt
  • 2 cups of meat stock


Melt the butter in a frying pan, add the onions and the curry and fry to golden brown.

Add the meat, rice (always cooked), salt and stock. Heat thoroughly.

Serve with a green salad.
